City Changers 2009

The King's Centre (KC) and St Thomas' Philadelphia together are one Sheffield-based missionary church with a shared vision to 'call our city back to God'. KC is a growing, welcoming and dynamic all-age community with strong links to its local communities, and a vision to reach the whole city.

Our aim is to be ‘living our callings, calling our city, through words, works and wonders’.

KC is in a season of significant growth both in terms of numbers and in our experience and expectation of the power and presence of God to move in real life. We are committed to investing in people and facing change when necessary in order to keep growing and expanding the Kingdom of God

To maintain and expand this season of growth requires that new funding and infrastructure now come in behind it.

The leadership of KC and Philadelphia feel that our approach should be this:

Call The King's Centre to give financially towards two priorities:

First: Invest in people. By appointing and financing a new Associate Minister staff member - increasing our capacity and blessing many others, directly and indirectly. Praise God, we've been able to do this now!

Second: Invest in our buildings. Simple re-fit to create new space, better facilities and improve the look and feel. It is likely that work will be planned and carried out in manageable stages.

KC held a City Changers Pledge Day on 31 May 2009. This enables church members and friends to make both one-off gifts and pledges of regular payments (perhaps over 1 or 2 years) to our general fund.

We may hold future Gift Days over the coming time. You can also give via our website anytime by clicking here.
