King's Centre is one church with St Thomas' Philadelphia. There are lots of initiatives that are based across both sites and Become student church is one of these. Become@KC is the community for students who are primarily based at King's Centre and is one of the three student communities that make up Become student church. To read more about how Become student church works follow the link:  www.becomestudentchurch.co.uk. You can also find us on Facebook, just search for Become@KC.

On Fire for Jesus
We believe we are all called to live in relationship with Jesus. Through this relationship we seek to live a life that sees us growing closer to Jesus and set more on fire by the Holy Spirit as we bring glory to His name on a daily basis.

Fully Equipped
Our heart is to intentionally invest in everyone within our community. We believe everyone has a God given calling upon their life and our desire is to see students trained up, discipled and released into their callings.

Loving Others
Experiencing God's love has a life changing effect. Anyone who has encountered the love of the Father is never the same again. This love continually changes and shapes us to become more like Jesus and it is this love we want to share with those around us. that are important

The values that are important to us as a community are:

  • Hearing the voice of God
  • Growing in relationship with Jesus
  • Being part of a family
  • Intentionally discipled
  • Reaching friends
  • Serving the student community

What about the leaders?
Laura and Nathan Norris
lead the student work here. You can email them here.

We also have a great student team of wise-heads who are committed to walking the walk with you. The church is led by a young couple, Nick & Marjorie Allan, who are passionate about God and very familiar with the Sheffield student scene (Nick was a history student at Sheffield Uni.) KC's vision is to 'call our city back to God'. Their commitment is to mission and discipleship.

Where are we?
We gather students from all over the city, from Crookes to Ecclesall. Our building is on Union Road in Nether Edge, which is close to the city centre, and very close to Endcliffe Village, Hallam University central campus, Psalter Lane and Collegiate Crescent campus.
